Wedding Invitation Disclaimers: Classic White Collection Stock including invitations and announcements The Classic White Collection stock is presented in a bright white. Invitations are a folder and flat card style. The smaller announcement cards are a folder. The front of both invitation style is approx. 5x7. The face of the announcement card is approx. 4 3/4 x 3 1/2. Folders are 60 lb cover stock weight. Cards are 80lb cover stock weight. Card stock has an attractive light grain texture. Vellum - Add sophistication to your invitation. Natural translucent vellum parchment is available. It can serve as a beautiful overlay on most of the single invitation cards. It also can be inserted into all of the folder invitations. Wedding Ensemble Envelopes - All envelopes besides the outer envelope have an elegant point flap. Outer Envelope - this envelope holds the entire invitation ensemble. It is a white vellum. The envelope is 5 1/2" x 8 1/8". Return address is printed on back flap. There is no cost for this envelope. Many people do order 25 more outer envelopes than there invitation count. (For mistakes that can be made while addressing envelope). The extra envelopes are .20 cents each. Pearl Foil Invitation Envelope* - This beautifully lined inner flap envelope compliments the pearl foil on the wedding invitation. True to tradition, this envelope is not gummed. Only the guest first name should be hand written on the front. This is the only envelope that is an additional cost. (FYD does not provide invitation envelopes that is without foil and un-gummed). Reception Envelope* - Holds the reception card. No printing in done to this envelope. - Response Envelope* - The same return address will now become a delivery address printed on the front side of the envelope. All envelopes relating to the invitation and cards should be of the same stock and brightness. This may vary in the invitation market. The Classic White Collection uses the same stock and brightness as the wedding invitation and announcement cards. This provides a uniform and classy finish to the ensemble. The outer envelope which contains the ensemble is a different stock and brightness. It has a square flap. Best results will occur when placing design face down. Fold from the back over. If a customer feels uncomfortable in folding the scored area, FYD will fold the cards for an additional charge - $5.00 per each group of 25 card stock count. This service only applies to cards that are printed by FYD. (They will be folder after printing take place). Due to changing traditions, FYD does not provide tissues. If desired, these liners can be found at most craft or art stores. An acid free brand is recommended. Color print will be an additional cost. Printing is done with a high resolution laser printer which leaves a striking flat print. This is a growing trend called Computer Calligraphy. FYD has a many scripts to choose from. (More printing info regarding embossed invitations:) Invitation price includes the return address on the outer envelopes and RSVP envelopes. Due to the small size of the response, informal and thank you envelopes, an ink jet printer is used. The English alphabet is the only lettering used. Invitations can be purchased blank to pursue optional printing or Hand Calligraphy. Please check with printer to confirm printing capability on embossed/foiled stamped cards. The hand finished design, "Romance," cannot be ran through a printer. FYD prints the card first, and then applies the hand finished glaze. Hand Calligraphy can be applied afterward. Ordering extra printed invitations after the initial order is processed, will be considered as a new order. This will result in a $30.00 set up charge. It is suggested to purchase more invites than number of quests. Order at least 20% more stationery than your actual count - you may have last minute or forgotten guests. Of course you'll want keepsakes). It is best to order your wedding invitations at least 3 - 6 months prior to your wedding date. Mail invitations 6 to 8 weeks before your wedding. If you are closer to your wedding date than you expected, FYD will assist in placing your order efficiently and explain different shipment options. Many of the opening phrases are contemporary style. They were created to compliment the individual design. You may like a beginning verse and choose to modify the remaining saying. Typing or very neat printing is preferred to avoid error. Please take care with spelling and letter placement (ex: Linda .vs. Lynda or McDermott .vs. Mc Dermott - Include Mr. and Mrs., Miss, Ms., Mr., Mrs.- where needed). Doctor should not be abbreviated. Esquire should also be written out. Payment accepted at this time is through PayPal or a personal check/money order. Payment is full. Check shipping charges. Pennsylvania residents pay 6% sales tax. Upon receipt of payment, FYD will send a proof by your choice of delivery method. Please provide a contact number/address. Upon meeting your satisfaction, please approve the proof. *See invitation disclaimer for information on card stock and sizes for below cards. Wedding Invitations Invitations announce the names of the Bride and Groom whom are about to be married! The invitation stock, design and print will reflect the personality of the couple. This will indicate the atmosphere of the wedding and reception. The name(s) of the person who is giving/hosting the wedding will also be on the invite. The date, time and place of wedding ceremony is included. The invitation should not look cluttered. Reception information should not be on the invitation. If the reception is held at the place of the ceremony, it could be included at the end of the invitation at discretion. Recommendation for invitation count is listed below. Announcement Cards: Reception, Response, Thank You and Informal, etc... see below for information. return to invitation stock Reception Card The reception card should be of the same design and stock as the invitation. This card is used to invite your guests to the place of celebration after the ceremony. It will announce the location and time of the reception. Directions or a map could be inserted within. A reception card does not use an envelope. It is tradition to simply place the reception card in the folding invitation. If the invitation is a non-folding card, the reception card is placed on top of the invitation. The font should be the same as the wedding invitation. Response Card (Reply/R.S.V.P) The response card should be of the same design and stock as the invitation. This card ask your guest to confirm whether or not they can attend your celebration. This includes a self-addressed envelope with (your paid) postage for the return. Reply cards may also include a selection of entrees for the reception, allowing guests to indicate their preferences. The font should be the same as the wedding invitation and reception card. Envelope is included with the wedding ensemble. *Thank You Cards or Informal Cards These cards are used for the same purpose in thanking your guest for there presence and gifts. Thank you cards have a printed Thank You" on the front, and the informal card will have the couples printed married name or their initials. These include a printed return address envelope. The informal card could also be used as a wedding announcement. Printing and envelope is not included in the Thank You and Informal cards unless your make purchase the same time as your invitation order. (See pricing for printing and design choices). The new Bride and Groom's address should be the return address. *Save The Date Card - Confirmation of your wedding date that could be sent to your guests a year in advance. This date card is also convenient to guests that may have to travel or if you are planning a destination wedding. A four to six month notification is useful. This will enable your guests to make timely arrangements to attend your wedding. The announcement cards could also be used for this information. Custom wording will be used. (Examples not given). *Wedding Announcement Card - Notification of your marriage to people who were not invited to the wedding. Invitation stock is commonly used. The announcement cards could also be used for this information. Custom wording will be used. (Examples not shown). *Placement Card - Many customers prefer this announcement size card for a placement card. It provides plenty of room for information needed such as; guest names, table number, food selection, etc... ♦Greeting Card or Large Invitation Size - With custom wording, many of the wedding invitations can be used for other occasions! *Envelopes are .10 cents each. This smaller card size envelope is gummed without a foil liner. ♦If you want a sealed, pearl foil lined flap envelope, the FYD pearl envelope could be purchased (see pricing page). You can easily apply an adhesive to the envelope to seal. All envelopes compliment the invitations. As suggested in the printing disclaimer, order at least 15% more stationery than your actual count. Children under the age of 16 do not need a separate invitation. Couples living at separate addresses should receive separate invitations. As suggested in the printing disclaimer, wedding invitations should be ordered at least 3-6 months prior to the wedding date. They should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the wedding date. An average Classic White Invitation ensemble contains: An invitation card, reception card, response card, foil invitation envelope, response card envelope and outer envelope. This package will require extra postage. Sixty cents is indicated upon weigh in. Please confirm weight for your accurate shipping costs on all size packages before mailing. Hand canceling is recommended. (instead of have your envelopes ran through a postal machine). Your postal office will have a ink stamp that you will press on each envelope. Embossing: The creation of a three-dimensional design or image on paper (material). Heat and pressure reshape the surface of the paper to create the image.
Blind Emboss: The image of embossing with nothing else applied such as foil stamping.
Foil Stamping: The application of foil to paper (material) where a heated die is stamped onto the foil. The foil adheres to the surface leaving the design of the die on the paper. Foil can be used for highlighting embossed areas.
Die: The "hard copy" of the design. The template that shapes the impression.
Pearl Foil: Shimmer affect in a color stamp. Pearl foil comes in various shades of color including the luminous (off-white) pearl of the Classic White Collection by Find Your Design.
Vellum Paper: Specially crafted translucent (see-through) vellum papers are 100% pure cellulose fiber, without the use of resins or other transparentizing agents. Crafted from premium translucent paper with cloudless fiber formation.
